Whole School Assessment Planner

At West Derby School, we place great emphasis on ensuring that your child makes progress. Your child will be assessed regurally throughout the academic year using, in class assessments, mock examinations and via coursework submissions.
Each year group will have 3 assessment weeks, within which, your child will be assessed in all his subjects. We will provide you with feedback on his progress at parents' evening and via printed termly reports. You can download the assessment planner here:

Planning your revision is very important. It is best to start early and take small steps, rather than leave it all to the last minute! Use the GCSE Science revision planner below to ensure that you cover all the content on your science exam.

E-Safety @ West Derby

This year we have launched a new desktop background on all student accessible computers at school. As children become more and more confident with IT, it is important that they remain safe online and are aware of the possible dangers. All our students receive e-safety training in ICT lessons and year group assemblies at the start of the academic year. We encourage all our students to stay vigilant online and report any suspicious behaviour to their teacher. If parents or carers have any concerns regarding online activity they should contact their child’s PPL at school.

Has someone done something online that has made you or a child or young person you know, feel worried or unsafe? You can make a report to CEOP (Child Exploitation & Online Protection Centre) using the link below:
